Who lived here

The address
A permit to build six frame houses (the register's number: “2305-2311-2321-2327-2335 or 2339-2343”), this one among them, was taken out in June 1909 by J E Braithwaite, owner and builder: $7,800 for the six.
Also at this address in 1940, the name section lists Hall (no first name printed), widow of E; and Mary E Hall, a stenographer at C Gardner Johnson (page 247, page 248). They share the household's surname, but no first name or initial ties them to the listing here before or after: we can't tell if they are the same family, so we keep them apart.
Today
The 1955 directory, the last we read still lists a household there, and the City's list of addresses no longer has 2305 Yew Street, so the building is probably gone (inferred). Next door, 2311 still has its building from before 1946, one of four on the block.
