Family names

Every family name the city directories print on the streets we've read, 1905 to 1945, with the houses where it appears. Close spellings are grouped, since a family's name was often spelled differently from one year to the next.

Names are shown through 1945, as printed. One name can be several families, so each house is listed on its own. Many Chinese, Japanese and other residents weren't named by the canvassers, so they can't be listed here: their houses' pages say where. Want a name removed? Tell us.
