The house today

1545 Arbutus Street still has a building from before 1946, as does 1539 next door; its permit dates from 1909 and the City's record from 1912, so it is very likely A, one of the three small wood-frame houses Goad's 1912 map draws on one lot (inferred). A permit to build two frame houses at 1539–1545 Arbutus, this one among them, was taken out in March 1909 by C F Mills, owner and builder: $2,500 for the two.
