In 1940 the directory lists H Curry, a grocer, at 3580 Commercial Street.

The 1940 name section lists Betty M Curry at 5533 Commercial Street, a clerk at the Hudson's Bay Company. In 1940 the directory lists H Curry, a grocer, at 2563 Commercial Drive. J C Curry is listed at 2548 East 27th Avenue in 1940; the 1940 line is marked * too. The 1940 name section lists James C Curry there as the householder, a driver at Pioneer Laundry, with Beverly Curry, a saleswoman for J F Oben.

3409 Arbutus, 380 East 47th, 4172 Main, 1336 Nanaimo, 1348 Robson, 4080 Welwyn and 207 West Hastings still have their buildings from before 1946, 3409 Arbutus on the Vancouver Heritage Register; 5533 Commercial (1986), 2548 East 27th (2012), 2419 East 34th (1984), 2668 Franklin (1996), 6854 Inverness (1995), 1106 Maple (1984) and 1164 Robson (1955) have newer buildings, by the City's record; the City no longer lists 3580 Commercial, 2563 Commercial Drive, 1637 East Broadway, 6115 Fraser, 718 Granville, 1366 Kingsway, 2609 Renfrew, 1068 West 7th, 1652 West 8th and 814 West Hastings, so those buildings are probably gone (inferred).
