H O Cornett, in meats, is listed at 6243 Fraser Street in 1940.

In 1940 the directory lists J D Cornett, in meats, at 7468 Fraser Street. H O Cornett is listed at 3307 Heather Street in 1940. In 1940 the directory lists W F Cornett at 3643 McGill Street. Mrs M M Cornett is listed at 1310 West 13th Avenue in 1940.

In 1940 the directory lists A E Cornett at 1833 West 4th Avenue. J D Cornett is listed at 747 West 52nd Avenue in 1940. In 1940 the directory lists Mrs T Cornett at 1845 West Broadway.

Today

296 East 44th, 419 East 47th, 1310 West 13th and 1833 West 4th still have their buildings from before 1946, 1310 West 13th on the Vancouver Heritage Register; 3643 McGill (1989) has a newer building, by the City's record; the City no longer lists 1836 Franklin, 6243 Fraser, 7468 Fraser, 3307 Heather, 747 West 52nd and 1845 West Broadway, so those buildings are probably gone (inferred).

Henderson's and successor city directories for Vancouver, read by us line by line: the street sections for 1905, 1915, 1925, 1935, 1940 and 1945, and the name section for 1930 and 1940 where we've read it (Vancouver Public Library, BC City Directories). Names are shown through 1945, as printed. Close spellings are grouped, as on the house pages, since a family's name was often spelled differently from one year to the next; one name can still be several families, and we join lines only where the first names or initials agree.
