The address first appears in 1915, with George H Smith, a grocer. After the Smith household, in 1925 it is listed as Chong Yew Co. By 1935 a household is listed here, L Bevilacqua, a grocer.

Chong Tai Lee, a grocer follows the grocer in 1940. After the Lee household, from 1945 to 1955 it is listed as Keefer Grocery.

The Lee name moves along the block: here in 1940, then at 783 in 1945 (the same family, or another with the same surname: inferred).

Today

The 1955 directory, the last we read still has two listings there, and the City's list of addresses no longer has 799 Keefer Street, so the building is probably gone (inferred). Two doors along, 795 still has one from before 1946, one of eleven on the block.
