In 1905 the directory names Frank Monk, a master mariner here. For three directories, 1915, 1925 and 1935, the canvassers wrote only “Foreigners”, “Chinese” or “Orientals” at this door; the next, in 1940, names S Isoshima. In 1940 the name section gives this address for Senzo Isoshima, a shoe repairer (page 297; joined to the 1940 listing, where the first name or initials agree, inferred).

The address
By 1945 the Isoshima name has gone and R Jeskay is listed.
Where the directory printed “Foreigners”, “Chinese” or “Orientals”, its canvassers wrote a group label in place of the residents' names; we show what was printed, and the names it never recorded we can't give.
Also at this address in 1940, the name section lists George Isoshima, a printer; and H Isoshima, a dishwasher for Empress Cafe (page 297). They share the household's surname, but no first name or initial ties them to the listing here before or after: we can't tell if they are the same family, so we keep them apart.
The block around it
In 1935 this was one of seven doors on the block where the directory printed “Orientals” instead of names, before the Isoshima household here.
Today
The wood-frame building Goad's 1912 map draws at 742 stood on land that is part of 710 Keefer Street today (inferred); the 1955 directory, the last we read still lists a household there and marks the property as owned by some member of the family, to the best of its knowledge, but the City no longer lists the number, so it is probably gone (inferred). Directly across the street, 743, on the heritage register, still has one from before 1946, one of eleven on the block.
