The house today
3343 Charles Street still has a building from before 1946, as does 3347 next door; Goad's 1912 map shows no building at the street end of the lot, so this one, which the City dates to 1920, went up after it. A permit to build a house was taken out in July 1922 by G Scaife, owner and builder: $1,000; the 1940 directory lists the Scaife name here.
