The house today

2121 Charles Street still has a building from before 1946, as does 2127 next door; its permit dates from 1910 and the City's record from 1910, so it is very likely the wood-frame building Goad's 1912 map draws on the lot (inferred). A permit to build a frame cottage was taken out in May 1910 by Charles Dale, owner and builder: $1,000; the 1940 directory lists the Dale name here.
