The house today

1556 Adanac Street still has a building from before 1946, on the City's heritage register (category B), the only one left on the 1500 block of Adanac Street; its permit dates from 1906 and the City's record from 1910, so it is very likely the wood-frame building Goad's 1912 map draws on the lot (inferred). A permit to build a frame house (the register's number: “ or 1556”) was taken out in October 1906 by Mrs R Marshall: $1,400. (inferred) (the register's number for it is uncertain, but the lot it gives is this address's lot today)
