The house today
A newer building, dated 2008 by the City, has the address now: the wood-frame building Goad's 1912 map draws here is gone, replaced after the 1940 directory; two doors along, 157, on the heritage register, still has one from before 1946, one of two on the block. A permit to build a store at 111–117 Alexander was taken out in April 1913 by A Grossman: builder Campbell & Wilkie, architect W T Whiteway, $8,000.
