In 1940 the directory lists P Winram at 1764 Cedar Crescent; the 1940 line is marked * too.

J M Winram is listed at 6138 Churchill Street in 1940. The 1940 name section lists J Mills Winram there as the householder, a manager at Winram Financial Ltd. The 1940 name section lists Winram (no first name printed) at 1390 Granville Street. The 1940 name section lists Mrs Helen A Winram at 2080 Haro Street, a stenographer at Yorkshire Savings & Loan.

Mrs M L Winram is listed at 3589 Pine Crescent in 1940; the 1940 line is marked * too. In 1940 the directory lists Mrs F M Winram at 1555 West 14th Avenue. The 1940 name section lists Fannie M Winram there as the householder, widow of W, with Edna E Winram, a student at UBC.

In 1940 the directory lists E H Winram at 2826 West 29th Avenue. The 1940 name section lists Edwin H Winram there as the householder, a salesman. In 1940 the directory lists R F Winram at 3501 West 35th Avenue; the 1940 line is marked * too. The 1940 name section lists Ralph F Winram there as the householder, a paving superintendent at Carter Halls Aldinger.

Today

3589 Pine Crescent, 1555 West 14th and 3501 West 35th still have their buildings from before 1946; 3656 Blenheim (2021) and 6138 Churchill (1985) have newer buildings, by the City's record; the City no longer lists 1764 Cedar Crescent, 1390 Granville, 2080 Haro and 2826 West 29th, so those buildings are probably gone (inferred).

Henderson's and successor city directories for Vancouver, read by us line by line: the street sections for 1905, 1915, 1925, 1935, 1940 and 1945, and the name section for 1930 and 1940 where we've read it (Vancouver Public Library, BC City Directories). Names are shown through 1945, as printed. Close spellings are grouped, as on the house pages, since a family's name was often spelled differently from one year to the next; one name can still be several families, and we join lines only where the first names or initials agree.
