In 1940 the directory lists W La Voie at 536 Drake Street. The 1940 name section, where each person's work is printed, lists William Lavoie there as the householder, a logger, with Lottie Lavoie, a saleswoman at Woolworths. In 1940 the directory lists J L Lavoie at 3377 East Pender Street; the 1940 line is marked *: some member of the family owns the property, to the best of our knowledge (the directory's own mark). The 1940 name section lists Joseph L Lavoie there as the householder, a department manager for A B Balderston.

In 1940 the directory lists R J Lavoie at 4596 James Street. The 1940 name section lists Ray J Lavoie there as the householder, a meat cutter at Safeway, with Wilfred Lavoie, a meat market manager at Safeway Stores.

Today

The City no longer lists 536 Drake, 3377 East Pender and 4596 James, so those buildings are probably gone (inferred).
