The house today
Goad's 1912 map draws no building on the lot at 7826, and the building the 1940 directory knew is gone too: the City dates the one there now to 2011; no building from before 1946 is left on the 7800 block of Cartier Street, and across the street the City dates 7827's to 1979. A permit to build a house was taken out in March 1929 by Mrs G Wilkes: builder A R Dunster, $4,500.
