The house today

313 Alexander Street still has a building from before 1946, one of six on the block; its permit dates from 1906 and the City's record from 1907, so it is very likely the wood-frame building Goad's 1912 map draws on the lot (inferred). A permit to build a frame house (the register's number: “ or 313”) was taken out in August 1906 by Yonekichi Aoki: $3,600; the 1940 directory lists the Aoki name here. (inferred) (the register's number for it is uncertain, but the owner's name is one the directories list here)
