The house today
A newer building, dated 1974 by the City, has the address now: the wood-frame building Goad's 1912 map draws here is gone, replaced after the 1940 directory; the nearest that still stands is 1122, on the heritage register, four doors along on the same side, one of three left on the block. A permit to build a frame house at 1162 & 1156 Bute was taken out in July 1908 by Carl S Gustafson: $7,600.
